2012 Tennessee Arts Academy - Online Application Form

All 2012 Tennessee Arts Academy applications must be processed online.

If you have any difficulty with this form, please call the TAA office at 615-460-5451 or Click here to contact us

Application Deadline: March 1, 2012

All qualified applicants (those who meet Tennessee Department of Education grant guidelines) are considered for acceptance on a space available basis. First time applicants receive priority. Previous Academy participants will be accepted in order of application date after qualified first-time applicants have been admitted. The earlier you apply the better chance you have of being accepted. If you apply after the March 1, 2012 deadline date, your name will be automatically transferred to the inactive status folder. Once all active status applicants have been processed, should openings occur in your desired content area, your application will be moved to the active folder. At that time you will be considered in order of the date your application was received, alongside all other eligible candidates for admission to the 2012 Tennessee Arts Academy session.

Application Instructions:

Please complete all applicable sections. When finished, click on the submit button. You will receive an e-mail at the primary e-mail address listed that indicates your application form has been received in the TAA office. Please note that the last 3 questions (#35-#36-#37) will require you to know some information about your general school student population. You may wish to look at these questions prior to completing the application.

Notification of Acceptance:

Notification of status ("accepted", "wait list" or "not accepted") will be e-mailed beginning in mid-October. As soon as spots become available, applicants placed on the wait list will be moved into the "accepted" category and immediately notified of their new status. [NOTE: Typically a large number of applicants on the wait list are eventually moved into the "accepted" category]. Due to the large number of applicants in certain content areas (particularly visual art and elementary music), acceptance status may be delayed until a majority of the applications are processed. All notifications will be e-mailed no later than March 30th.

Acceptance Packets and Fees:

All "accepted" applicants will receive via e-mail an acceptance packet along with their notification status. The acceptance packet will contain specific registration and payment instructions.

Do not mail any fees until you have received an acceptance packet. To review TAA tuition, on-campus housing costs and the TAA refund policy, please visit the TAA website.
